Topic 1: Domestic food practices enhancing sustainable and healthy diets
Topic 2: Towards diverse, sustainable, and circular food processing systems
Topic 3: Trust and transparency in sustainable food systems
Please note that primary production activities, such as the cultivation of food crops (including seafood), other aspects of agricultural production, and related specific elements, as well as nutrition- and lifestyle-related diseases, are not in focus in this partnership. The focus of FutureFoodS is on issues post-harvest.
The maximum funding per project partner varies by country and funder, ranging from ~EUR 100,000 to ~EUR 600,000 per partner, with some funders allowing up to ~EUR 1,000,000 per project at the national/regional level.
Primary funding responsibility: National and regional public funding organisations (ministries, national research councils, innovation agencies) participating in the FutureFoodS partnership. Funding is provided at the national/regional level via a virtual standard pot.
EU role: The call is co-funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe (Cluster 6), via the FutureFoodS European Partnership. The EU does not fund beneficiaries directly. Aspects of primary production are covered in other Horizon Europe partnerships.
