The EU has opened the LIFE 2026 Standard Action Projects call on Circular Economy and Zero Pollution with a budget of €79 million. The call supports projects on waste, resource recovery, water, soil, chemicals and other environmental topics that can also benefit agri-food value chains. Public authorities, businesses, researchers and non-profits can apply by 22 September 2026.

The LIFE-2026-SAP-ENV-ENVIRONMENT call opened on 21 April 2026 under the Programme for the Environment and Climate Action, with a €79 million budget and a single-stage deadline of 22 September 2026 at 17:00 Brussels time. It supports Standard Action Projects that contribute to a sustainable, circular, energy-efficient and climate-resilient economy and a toxic-free environment. Eligible topics include circular economy and waste, recovery of resources from waste, water, soil, chemicals, air, industrial emissions and sustainable management of natural resources, with applicants allowed to select a maximum of two sub-topics. For agri-food stakeholders, the call is relevant for projects addressing resource recovery, pollution prevention and environmental performance in food-related value chains.
