EIT Food has announced the selection of 65 startups for the 2026 edition of the Food Accelerator Network, its flagship programme for early-stage agrifood innovators. The selected companies will join one of six specialised hubs across Europe, each focused on key areas such as resilient agriculture, circular food systems, biotech, digital farming, and low-carbon supply chains.

The programme is designed to help startups validate their technologies and prepare for commercial growth through tailored roadmaps, access to research and technology organisations, and direct engagement with corporates and investors. It also places strong emphasis on collaboration, with major industry players participating in reverse pitching sessions to present strategic challenges and explore joint innovation opportunities.

By combining scientific validation, market access, and ecosystem connections, FAN aims to help promising agrifood technologies move closer to real-world deployment. The programme also reflects EIT Food’s broader objective of strengthening Europe’s innovation capacity in response to food security, sustainability, and competitiveness challenges.
