The EU CAP Network has launched a new call for experts to take part in three Focus Groups focused on innovation, knowledge exchange, and practical solutions for agriculture and forestry. The call is open to farmers, foresters, advisors, researchers, and other relevant stakeholders with experience related to the selected themes. Applications must be submitted by 31 July 2026 at 23:59 CET.

The three new Focus Groups will address integrated approaches to forest wildfire prevention, innovative on-farm fertiliser strategies, and protection measures for pome and stone fruit orchards facing climate variability and extreme weather events. The groups are expected to begin their work in autumn 2026 and deliver results by summer 2027. The first meetings are scheduled for late October and November 2026, and selected experts must be available to attend in person.

The European Commission will cover travel and accommodation costs for chosen participants. The initiative is designed to bring together practical and scientific expertise to support innovation in the agricultural and forestry sectors, while helping develop solutions that are effective, economically viable, and environmentally sustainable.
