The European Commission has revealed the finalists for the 2026 EU Organic Awards, with 21 projects from 12 EU countries shortlisted across seven award categories. The winners will be announced in Brussels on 23 September as part of the celebrations for EU Organic Day.

The finalists for the 2026 EU Organic Awards have been announced, recognising outstanding projects and initiatives from across the organic value chain. A total of 21 finalists from 12 EU countries have been selected, with the winners of the seven awards to be unveiled in Brussels on 23 September during the annual EU Organic Day celebrations.
Launched in 2022 under the Action Plan for the Development of Organic Production, the awards highlight excellence in areas ranging from farming and food processing to retail, restaurants, cities, and organic regions. The initiative aims to increase the visibility of the organic sector, promote best practices, and showcase projects that are innovative, sustainable, and inspiring.
The awards are jointly organised by the European Commission, the European Economic and Social Committee, the European Committee of the Regions, COPA-COGECA, and IFOAM Organics Europe. This year’s shortlist reflects the diversity and dynamism of organic production across Europe, at a time when the sector continues to grow in importance within EU agriculture and food policy.
