The Foodies is a European award initiative for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for their commitment to sustainability in the agri-food sector. Partnering with the SIAL for Change competition at SIAL Paris 2026, and with support from the European Commission, the program highlights companies that go beyond simple innovation to integrate environmental and social responsibility into their core business models.
The competition is structured into four main categories based on the EU Code of Conduct: Nutrition Action, which focuses on healthy diets; Circular Chain, targeting waste reduction and sustainable packaging; Greener Planet, rewarding emissions reduction and renewable energy; and Shared Value, which recognizes fair labor practices and inclusive economic growth.
Participants benefit from massive global visibility at SIAL Paris, the world's largest food exhibition, reaching over 285,000 industry professionals. Finalists receive a certified "Foodies" badge to boost brand credibility, a trip to Paris, and exclusive networking opportunities with international buyers.
Applications opened on 24 March and will end on 1 July 2026.
Further information and applications at the Foodies and SIAL for change websites.
