Commitments by aspirational objectives:
Aspirational objective 3: A climate-neutral food chain in Europe by 2050

Viterra commitments:
• 5% reduction in total scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions over 5 years (2021-2025, compared to the base year 2020, intensity-based, value from the base year 2020 is 54,2 kg GHG emissions/mt processed) for our global processing asset.
Aspirational objective 7: Sustainable sourcing in food supply chains
With the following aspirational targets:
a) Transformed commodity supply chains that do not contribute to deforestation, forest degradation, and destruction of natural habitat and which preserve and protect high-value ecosystems and biodiversity;
b) Improved social performance in (global) food supply chains.
Viterra commitments:
• Increase levels of traceability from South American soy with 2% p.a. (2021-2025, compared to base year 2020 @ 63.3%) from our regional origination programs;
• Traceable is defined as a known farm-of-origin in the high-risk biomes Amazon, Cerrado, and Gran Chaco; and a known municipality-of-origin from low-risk areas.
