Nick Weir represents the Open Food Network Europe as a Community Facilitator. He sees opportunities to work with others in the network to build short food supply networks that are more resilient, fairer, more kind, more transparent and more beneficial to local economies than the current mainstream food system. His focus in the digital thematic area is to champion open source software used to develop a platform co-op that is in common ownership and which is controlled by the farmers, growers, community food enterprises and eaters who use the platform.

Open Food Network Europe has networks of farmers, growers and community food enterprises in all these countries. They will promote the Platform to all these networks, share news coming out of the Platform and encourage our members to join the Platform
