The CHARM project, which took place from 2019 to 2021 and was funded by the COSME Initiative of the European Union, aimed to position Europe as a premier cultural tourism destination by highlighting its rural villages. Among the project’s outcomes were the creation of a transnational route featuring 10 Charming Villages across 6 EU countries, the development of at least 70 innovative tourism products and activities utilizing advanced CCI technologies, and the formulation of a comprehensive promotional and branding strategy to boost Europe’s visibility and reputation as a cultural destination, targeting key segments and outbound markets.
