On 23 July 2024, Interreg Europe, an interregional cooperation programme co-funded by the European Union, highlighted a good practice from Fáilte Ireland. The National Tourism Development Authority introduced the “Digital that Delivers” initiative to enhance the digital capabilities of Irish tourism businesses. This initiative aims to boost their online presence and foster greater engagement with potential visitors by offering a suite of services, including tailored digital audits, personalized action plans, and access to expert advice. As a result, this programme provides valuable insights for policymakers by demonstrating how targeted digitalization initiatives can effectively drive economic and operational improvements in businesses across key sectors. Key achievements of “Digital that Delivers” include an increase in website traffic for participating businesses, improved online booking rates, and enhanced digital marketing skills among tourism operators.
