The Greentour project, funded by the European Union, aimed to promote circular economy practices in sustainable tourism within the SUDOE region. Coordinated by the School of International Studies of the Pompeu Fabra University, it focused on developing innovative tools, including a life cycle-based ecolabelling system and methodologies for environmental assessment. Running from November 2020 to March 2023, its key outcomes include four assessment tools, an online ecolabelling application, and a transregional sustainable tourism network. These were piloted in culturally and environmentally significant destinations, helping to preserve heritage while advancing low-impact tourism. For more information about project's objectives, activities, results, success factors, and resources, please follow the link provided on the left-hand side of the platform.
