France Chimie received a commendation for "Water-wise chemistry," a dedicated support programme helping chemical manufacturers monitor, manage and improve water efficiency across their sites, and for sharing the underlying tools with fellow members of the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA). For a resource increasingly scrutinised alongside carbon emissions, disseminating a working national approach to water management through ICCA's global network extends the programme's reach well beyond France's borders.

The programme was designed with long-term impact in mind, providing member companies with practical guidance and tools to reduce water withdrawals while promoting responsible resource management across sites of varying size and water intensity, from large multinational producers to smaller specialised formulators like the Gattefossé and Syensqo sites separately recognised at regional French Responsible Care award ceremonies earlier in 2026. This is France Chimie's second recognition in this award cycle, alongside its National Associations category win for climate adaptation support, underlining the association's dual focus on climate and resource-efficiency programming for its membership, and its role as a hub distributing practical tools that individual companies, particularly smaller ones, would struggle to develop independently.
