The call notes that maintenance and repair interventions in existing buildings are often reactive, which can lead to inefficiencies, high costs and disruption for users and inhabitants. Prolonging the lifespan of existing buildings helps reduce raw material extraction, waste and greenhouse gas emissions, in line with the recast Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.

Proposals are expected to develop at least one LCA-based decision-support tool for predictive maintenance and repair, and at least one package of measures that integrates circularity principles, involves inhabitants, users and owners, and minimizes disruption. The solutions are expected to be demonstrated in three buildings in three different Member States and/or Associated Countries, including at least one heritage building and at least one social and affordable housing project. Apply through the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.
