Interreg has published an overview of projects developing practical approaches to water management and resilience. The featured initiatives include tools for flood forecasting, digital irrigation management, infrastructure planning and ecosystem restoration. Examples include the REDAWN project, which tested micro-hydropower applications in water distribution systems, FlashFloodBreaker, which is developing forecasting and emergency response tools for flood management, and SMART GREEN WATER, which is testing digital twin technology for irrigation systems. The article also highlights projects focused on peatland restoration, water retention and cross-border cooperation for water management.
