On 19 September 2025, the European Commission launched a public consultation on the challenges and effective solutions needed to scale up and further develop the New European Bauhaus (NEB).
The Commission invites stakeholders to give feedback on the challenges and objectives, and to share examples of best practices for successful implementation.
These examples may include the effective execution of the NEB initiative, support structures like National Contact Points (NCPs), governance models at national or local levels, strategies for integrating NEB values and principles into policy and funding initiatives, as well as examples of effectively combining various funding sources, such as EU programmes, national funds, and private investments. The consultation process aims to give stakeholders, especially those closely involved in designing and implementing the NEB, the chance to reflect on its achievements and collaboratively shape its future actions and priorities.
The consultation addresses a broad range of stakeholders. These include EU Member States together with regional and local authorities, the established New European Bauhaus community, as well as other groups such as urban planners, scientists from different disciplines, artists, representatives from industry and business, cultural researchers, architects, designers, professionals from the construction sector, real estate investors and philanthropists. The consultation is also open to the general public and remains open until 17 October 2025, allowing contributions in any EU language through the “Have Your Say” platform.
