The Statistics Iceland provides yearly indicators on inbound tourism expenditure in Iceland from 2009 to 2023. The data is categorised by consumption products including accommodation, transportation, travel agencies, cultural services, sport and recreational services and other, and by classes of visitors. It shows a significant increase in total consumption products from 188,460 in 2021 to 497,934 in 2023, driven largely by the growth in tourism characteristic products and the rising number of both overnight and same-day visitors.
