In 2024, Moldova experienced record-high demand for travel agency and tour operator services, with 396,933 residents travelling abroad and 67,631 foreign visitors arriving—an increase of 27.8% and 240.7% from 2019, respectively.

The National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova provides data on the operations of travel agencies and tour operators in Moldova, categorised by purpose of visit, covering the period from 2000 to 2024. According to the 2024 data, the highest demand for these services came from Moldovan residents travelling abroad, totalling 396,933 individuals. Additionally, approximately 67,631 foreign visitors used these services to enter Moldova. Both figures represent the highest levels recorded since data collection began and reflect increases of 27.8% and 240.7%, respectively, compared to 2019.
