In the fourth quarter of 2023, according to statistics, 81.4% of residential trips in Slovenia were made using passenger road motor vehicles, with 88.2% for domestic and 75.7% for international travel, showing a clear preference for this mode of transport.

According to the latest data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia, in the fourth quarter of 2023, the majority of residential trips in Slovenia were made using passenger road motor vehicles (excluding buses), accounting for 81.4% of all trips. This trend is consistent for both domestic and international travel by residents, where passenger road motor vehicles were the preferred mode of transport, with shares of 88.2% and 75.7%, respectively.
