In 2022, the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre emerged as the most visited attraction in Ireland, drawing 2.0 million visitors, according to Fáilte Ireland. Kilkenny Castle Parklands and Dublin Zoo followed, attracting 1.4 million and 1.2 million visitors, respectively. Ireland boasts a wealth of historic sites, comprising 37.0% of all attractions, alongside museums and galleries (17.0%) and heritage centres (14.0%). Out of the 397 attractions in Ireland, 32% offer free entry. Fáilte Ireland, the National Tourism Development Authority, provides a free, automatically updated statistical dashboard, allowing exploration of visitor numbers for attractions participating in the Annual Visitor Attractions Survey.
