In 2023, Croatian travel agencies organized overnight trips for 707,733 domestic tourists. Of these tourists, 58.2% traveled within Croatia, while 41.8% ventured abroad. Among the 295,954 domestic tourists who traveled abroad, the most popular destinations were Italy (23.7%), Bosnia and Herzegovina (7.7%), and Austria (6.4%). Although the number of domestic tourists traveling abroad decreased by 13.2% compared to 2019, it saw a significant increase of 65.7% compared to 2022, indicating a recovery in tourism trends.
