In 2023, residents of Latvia made 9.3 million domestic trips, marking an 11.0% decrease from 2019. Similarly, trips abroad fell by 11.7%, totaling 2.1 million in 2023. The primary reasons for both domestic and international travel were recreational and other private trips, accounting for 97.0% of domestic trips and 87.7% of international trips.
