According to the data from the Institute of Statistics of Albania, the distribution of trips by destination and purpose saw shifts between 2022 and 2023. In Albania, trips for visiting relatives and friends increased from 42.6% in 2022 to 44.8% in 2023, while holiday and leisure trips slightly declined from 49.7% to 49.4%. Abroad, the share of trips for visiting relatives and friends rose from 38.1% to 43.2%, while holiday and leisure trips decreased from 49.8% to 47.2%. Other purposes of trips and business trips accounted for a smaller share, with minor fluctuations.
