The Plastic Management Panel was an integral component of the Final SUSTOUR Event, which took place on September 13-14, 2023, in Cascais, Portugal. This event represented the culmination of a three-year project funded by the EU-COSME program, aimed at empowering European tour operators and travel agents to adopt sustainable practices. The panel included a keynote speech by an expert and presentations showcasing best practices for reducing plastic use in the tourism industry. It tackled the urgent need to minimize plastic waste, thereby safeguarding the environment and promoting sustainable tourism.
