On 24 June 2025, SDA Bocconi School of Management will host an in-person event in Milan exploring the future of sustainability disclosure and its role in business. Organised in collaboration with the Institute for European Policymaking, the event brings together companies, policymakers, and academics to assess whether sustainability reporting requirements are a bureaucratic burden or a strategic asset. It comes at a time when the European Commission is reviewing the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), aiming to balance simplification with the need for transparency and reliable data.
The discussions will cover the implications of disclosure frameworks on business strategy, the evolving regulatory landscape in Europe, and the role of sustainability information in financial markets. Speakers will include experts from the European Commission, national authorities, academia, and industry. The event will also address how companies can align reporting practices with long-term value creation and stakeholder engagement.
The event will take place at SDA Bocconi School of Management, Milan, from 08:30 to 17:30 CEST. It will be held in English, and registration is open on the SDA Bocconi website.
