The European Commission’s Blueprint for Sectoral Cooperation on Skills aims to tackle current and future skills gaps across sectors like textiles, automotive, construction, green technologies, digital, tourism, maritime, health, aerospace, defence, and agri-food by fostering collaboration between industry, education and training providers, and public authorities. It supports the development of sector-specific strategies to align workforce skills with changing market needs.

Through sectoral partnerships, the Blueprint promotes upskilling and reskilling initiatives that prepare workers for the green and digital transitions. It also helps ensure a better match between training systems and labour market demands, strengthening competitiveness and employability within Europe’s industrial ecosystems.
