The Conference will feature three dedicated panels:
An overview of the progress and implementation of the SEAP actions;
A discussion with Member States currently developing national social economy strategies, with a focus on implementing the Council Recommendation;
A debate on funding and investing in the social economy, bringing together key public authorities.
The day will conclude with the long-awaited 2025 ceremony of the European Social Economy Awards, honouring exceptional initiatives and leaders shaping a more inclusive, sustainable and democratic Europe across the categories of Clean Energy, Housing, Quality Social Economy Local Action Plans, Social Economy Training and Education and Innovation in Working Integration Social Enterprises.
We are pleased to confirm that we expect the participation of Executive Vice-President of the Commission responsible for the Social Economy Roxana Mînzatu, alongside other high-level speakers from all European institutions, Member States, and local and regional authorities. The conference will also welcome key stakeholders from across the social economy ecosystem, with over 500 participants expected.
In addition, during that same week in Murcia, there will be important meetings of Members of the European Parliament in the framework of the Social Economy and Services of General Interest Intergroup, as well as meetings between Member State representatives, further strengthening the institutional dialogue around social economy policies.
Join us as we celebrate Murcia as the European capital of the Social Economy in 2025!
