The Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) of the European Commission and the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) will jointly host the 2025 European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) from 13 to 15 October in Brussels. This flagship event on Cohesion Policy, now in its 23rd edition, will take place under the theme “Shaping Tomorrow, Together.”

The 2025 edition will spotlight three central themes:

  • Cohesion and Growth for the Future
  • The Right to Stay
  • Cities Building Tomorrow

Key topics to be explored include mobility, climate action and preparedness, digitalisation, and resilience.

The programme will feature a diverse range of interactive sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and innovation in regional and urban development. The event will bring together policymakers, public officials at all levels, private sector leaders, academics, journalists, civil society representatives, and citizens to exchange ideas and shape the future of Europe’s regions and cities.

Participation is free, and registration will open in mid-July.
