The EIC Accelerator funds are allocated as follows:
There is a grant component below 2.5 million Euros for innovation activities (TRL 6 to 8), and in addition, there is an investment component of 0.5 up to 10 million Euros for scaling up and other activities.
The European Innovation Council (EIC) is responsible for the funding, and the funding period is from 2021 to 2027.
The maximum investment component is reduced from EUR 15 million to EUR 10 million (investment amounts above EUR 10 million available under the STEP call).
It is essential to clarify that applications must have completed all Technology Readiness Level 5 elements. The evaluation of short proposals (Step 1) will be batched monthly, with results within 4-6 weeks.
For proposals submitted through the Open and Challenges Calls, a unanimous approval in case of consensus meetings is required for a jury interview invitation.
Clarifications that proposals with nuclear applications are eligible in the case of the EIC Accelerator.
