The European Commission has launched a funding call under the Horizon Europe Cluster 2 programme to test and enhance the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH) through innovative, real-world use cases. The objective is to improve the platform’s tools and functionalities while promoting collaboration, co-creation, and digital innovation in the cultural heritage sector.
The call focuses on the development of digital twins to create an immersive visitor experience, improvement of digital infrastructure for cultural institutions, and collaboration with creative industries to design innovative tourism products and services.
Eligible applicants include EU institutions, public bodies, research and education institutions, SMEs, NGOs, and private companies. A total of EUR 60 million has been allocated for the call. Projects must ensure open-source software development and alignment with ECCCH standards.
Applications must be submitted by 16 September 2025.
