The European Commission, under the Horizon Europe programme, has launched a funding call to support integrated and coordinated approaches for the conservation, restoration, and climate resilience of coral reefs and associated ecosystems such as mangroves and seagrass beds. It aims to enhance ecosystem protection, promote biodiversity, and contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation in line with EU and global environmental strategies.

Eligible applicants include research institutions, public authorities, non-profits, SMEs, and other legal entities from EU Member States and associated countries. The call provides funding for projects which integrate scientific and indigenous knowledge, support international coordination, and develop practical guidelines and monitoring tools. Applications must be submitted by 17 September 2025.
