A new opportunity has arisen with the launch of the third Call for Proposals under the European Urban Initiative (EUI), focusing on innovative actions in the areas of "Energy Transition" and "Technology in Cities." With an indicative budget of €90 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), this initiative encourages cities to develop projects that address local challenges and foster sustainable urban development. Each project can secure up to €5 million in co-financing, with a maximum implementation period of 3.5 years. Interested cities are urged to form partnerships with public and private entities, NGOs, and academic institutions to enhance their proposals. The deadline for submissions is set for October 14, 2024, offering ample time for project development and collaboration.
