The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digital and Energy of Saarland launched the SME Programme to support a more sustainable and resilient hospitality sector, offering financial assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises for modernisation and sustainability improvements. The programme aims to stabilise the hospitality sector, secure permanent jobs, and future-proof businesses amid economic transformation.  Eligible applicants include SMEs in the accommodation and catering sectors with premises in Saarland. A total of EUR 25 million in state funds has been allocated for the 2025–2027 period, including grants covering up to 50% of eligible net investment costs, ranging from EUR 12,500 to EUR 300,000 (The original piece available only in German).
