In 2023, Arkema adopted a climate plan to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 48.5% for scope 1 and 2, and 54% for scope 3, and this by 2030 compared to our 2019 baseline. We are pursuing decarbonization across the three emissions scopes. More and more customers ask for sustainable solutions and we are proud to be able to offer them bio-based high performance materials with one of the lowest carbon footprints in the market. Last year, we shared the carbon footprint of our castor-based Rilsan® PA11, which was less than 2 kgCO2 per kg . We announced in October 2024 that by the beginning of 2025, we will achieve another significant reduction, reaching 1.3 kgCO2. Over the past year, we have been focusing on implementing renewable electricity throughout our plants, and we are now even more confident to reach our objective of 1 kgCO2 by 2030.
