ISOPA (the European trade association for producers of diisocyanates and polyols) and ALIPA (the European Aliphatic Isocyanates Producer Association) have equipped the industry and workers with a comprehensive training program for all industrial and professional users of diisocyanates in Europe, in line with the EU REACH restriction on diisocyanates. In 2021, together with various downstream associations, ISOPA and ALIPA launched a digital training platform in English with 36 different training paths, covering the most prominent applications tasks for people working with diisocyanates. ISOPA and ALIPA ensured the training is now available in all EU languages, which has reached over 800,000 online registrants.
In addition, since July 2023, we have been offering ‘Train-the-Trainer’ seminars for people to become certified safety experts on diisocyanates. We have since created a network of over 200 trainers across Europe. Our target for 2030 is ensure to expand its digital training platform on a global scale, providing valuable safety training to protect workers worldwide, whilst continuing the effective upkeep of our EU platform to ensure a high level of safety in the EU.
