SOLUTEX has manufactured an ingredient (LIPINOVA) entirely under the SSbD (Safe and Sustainability by Design) methodology. The company's intention is to apply this methodology to all its ingredients/products, with a respective carbon footprint measurement that can also classify its portfolio in terms of sustainability (PSA). The ingredient LIPINOVA has been developed in Spring 2012.

Currently (Phase I of the project), the company is reviewing its strategy to adapt it to it by elevating its initiatives inspired by the SDGs and new metrics that determine our ambition and leadership in the market to the category of Sustainability Master Plan (PSA). The Environmental Management, Sustainability and Governance System groups together the different Plans and Protocols identified in the PSA, organizing them into three Programs, ten priority lines and 52 action plans. 

In phase II (2026-2030), the company aims to apply Apply the SSbD methodology to major part of the product portfolio by 2030, focusing on core products that represent the majority of revenue and impact. We also intend to utilize PSA insights to develop full life cycle assessments (LCA) for all products, integrating data into transparent reporting mechanisms for stakeholders. 

For phase III (2031-2050), our objective is to ensure that all ingredients/products are developed and manufactured under the SSbD methodology by 2050.
