Sustainability in the context of the company is based on producing the quality omega-3 EPA and DHA that the population needs in its essential nutrition, while guaranteeing a positive impact on the environment. With the aim of improving its performance in this aspect, the Sustainability Master Plan (PSA) has been developed (in 2023) based on the following key elements: (i) high quality and affordable price; (ii) circularity and decarbonization; (iii) well-being and talent management; (iv) innovation; (v) new raw materials; (vi) contribution to health and nutrition; and (vii) ethical and responsible governance. PSA define a framework for the implementation and evaluation of sustainability performance, defining responsibilities, resource allocation and monitoring systems to monitor the company's progress in environmental, social and governance terms. At this time (end of 2024), SOLUTEX is currently measuring its Carbon Footprint in the field of decarbonisation, according to the GHG Protocol methodology, and is also carrying out a series of climate risk analyses according to CSRD and Taxonomy and its financial implications. As part of the PSA production processes are being reviewed and adjusted to minimise the need for water at each stage, while maintaining product quality.
