Constant monitoring of industry sentiment is crucial for policymakers and stakeholders to anticipate emerging trends and challenges within the tourism ecosystem. Such proactive initiatives enable the identification of early warning signals related to various issues. To aid the transition towards a greener and more digital tourism sector, the Commission has formed an expert group comprising a diverse range of stakeholders, including individual experts, professional associations, Member State authorities, and other relevant organizations. This collaboration creates an ideal environment for assessing industry sentiment and gathering vital insights, facilitating the early detection of challenges and informing the sector's strategies.
