Adequate resource allocation and funding are essential for the tourism ecosystem to enhance resilience and manage crises effectively. Sufficient financial resources are needed for proactive measures, timely response initiatives, and recovery efforts during crises. Many tourism organisations, particularly public ones at regional and local levels, lack the necessary financial resources to develop crisis management preparedness. They often prioritise immediate operational needs over long-term resilience initiatives. Therefore, it is crucial to prioritise national and regional funding to support resilience-building and crisis preparedness efforts, while organisations must also explore funding opportunities and reallocate budgets accordingly.
