EIT Urban Mobility, in collaboration with TRT Trasporti e Territorio, released a study in October 2024 evaluating the costs and benefits of three scenarios aimed at achieving the transport sector's Green Deal targets for 2030 and 2050. The study, based on twelve prototype European cities, examines three scenarios: S01 (infrastructure and mobility services), S02 (regulation and demand management), and S03 (zero-emissions). It assesses their costs and benefits for both municipalities and users. The simulations suggest that by 2030, advancements in mobility solutions could cut CO2 emissions by 21% compared to 2022 levels.
