This report is part of the 4BIZ project, which aims to enhance the Blue Economy in the Black Sea region. It focuses on providing a supportive framework for blue businesses, particularly in fisheries and aquaculture, coastal and maritime tourism, and maritime transport. The research extends to other EU sea-basins like the Baltic Sea, Atlantic Ocean, and Mediterranean Sea to identify effective policies and operational practices. The report analyzes the current state of the Blue Economy in these regions, identifies successful initiatives and innovation hubs, and compares them with the Black Sea to pinpoint challenges and best practices. Ultimately, it recommends adopting these best practices to address gaps and boost the Blue Economy in the Black Sea region.
