The Directorate General for Enterprise (Direction Générale des Entreprises, DGE), part of France’s Ministry for the Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, has released a guide to help tourism professionals manage visitor flows. Published on 9 August 2024, the guide aims to promote sustainable tourism by balancing ecological and social considerations. Targeted at destination managers, site operators, and public authorities, it offers a strategic framework grounded in practical, real-world approaches.
