The EU-funded SMARTA-NET project has launched a practical tool to help rural regions adopt more sustainable mobility solutions. Developed by NIT (Institute for Tourism Research in Northern Europe), this self-check tool enables rural areas to gain knowledge and a realistic overview of their region's characteristics and tourist mobility. By using this tool, regions can identify areas for improvement and define measures to enhance sustainability. It fosters collaboration among local stakeholders and provides valuable insights to promote environmentally friendly transportation options.

Access to the tool is free and available to anyone interested in assessing the sustainable tourist mobility situation in their rural region.
