The Tourism Monitor Switzerland 2023 Manual is the most extensive national guest survey, conducted by Switzerland Tourism for the Swiss tourism industry, with a focus on overnight leisure tourism. 22,781 overnight tourists from over 140 source markets were surveyed across approximately 180 destinations in Switzerland. The survey addresses a broad spectrum of topics, such as information sources, guest needs, destination image, tourism strengths and weaknesses, and guest satisfaction. The manual aims to standardise data collection processes to ensure consistency and reliability across various regions.
