The European Commission proposes the creation of a common European mobility data space (EMDS) to enhance data sharing in the transport sector. The EMDS will support sustainable, smart mobility, improve transport policy-making, and enable innovative services by providing better data interoperability. It will benefit public authorities, businesses, and consumers by enhancing transport efficiency, reducing emissions, and fostering economic growth.
