Visa waiver agreements refer to agreements between the European Union (EU) and non-EU countries. These affords permit passport-holding nationals of non-EU nations to enter the EU for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa. Visa requirements are determined by a number of factors, including reciprocity, migration, security, human rights considerations, and economic gains (tourism and international trade, for example). Through these agreements, cross-border travel is made easier and global connections are fostered.
