The 4th edition of the Strategic Committee for Overseas Tourism (CSTOM) took place on September 17, 2024, aiming to promote sustainable and resilient tourism in French overseas territories. Tourism is a key economic sector for these territories, generating tens of thousands of jobs. After the pandemic, 2022 marked a significant recovery, with positive trends continuing into 2023 and 2024. The 2024 edition focused on enhancing the attractiveness and sustainability of these destinations amidst growing competition. The event featured discussions and roundtables on ecotourism, sustainable tourism initiatives, and the impact of the Olympic period on tourism (The original piece available only in French).
