Bird & Bird reports that the Czech Republic's new Act No. 424/2023 Coll., effective from 28 June 2025, transposes Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council and mandates that selected products and services — such as electronics, e-commerce, and transport — must meet accessibility standards to support people with disabilities. The law imposes obligations on manufacturers, importers, distributors, and service providers to ensure compliance, including technical documentation, accessible user information, and conformity assessments. Exemptions apply to micro-enterprises and certain service types, while non-compliance may result in fines or product withdrawal.
