As part of efforts to enhance the management of the EU’s external borders and strengthen internal security, the European Commission introduced Regulations 817 and 818 on 20 May 2019. These regulations, which came into effect on 11 June 2019, lay the foundation for interoperability between EU information systems covering border control, visas, police and judicial cooperation, asylum, and migration.

Follow the attached link or access both regulations in the Related Content section below to explore our detailed posts on these legislative measures and discover how the EU is advancing towards seamless cross-border travel across Europe.
