According to Euronews, the Italian government is implementing measures in 2025 to combat overtourism and preserve residents' quality of life. These changes are being made at both the national and local levels and include limiting access to popular Italian sites through a ticketing system, increasing or introducing new tourist taxes, banning key boxes for short-term rentals, and more.
