According to Travel Tomorrow, Brussels Airport launched a pilot project featuring Belgium's first self-driving electric shuttle, aiming to enhance sustainable mobility within the airport as part of the European Stargate project. The shuttle, developed in collaboration with New Zealand’s Ohmio, a specialist in self-driving solutions for complex environments, autonomously transports airport staff and is equipped with advanced technology to ensure safety and efficiency. This effort is a step towards achieving zero CO2 emissions by 2030.
